Stucco Stickler: Clean stucco siding before you paint it with a stiff nylon brush and detergent. Make sure the new coat of paint has somewhere to “stick” by scratching the surface of the stucco with a wire brush or, in cases of serious disrepair, have it sandblasted by a professional before you paint.
